This beautiful Lunar Surface Flown US Flag comes affixed to an official presentation card signed by Charlie Duke. Duke has also written a Letter Of Authenticity which has been co-signed by a Notary Public Official.

The letter reads as follows:

"To Whom It May Concern
I certify that this United States Of America flag made of nylon cloth and measuring approximately 4 by 6 inches was carried to the Lunar Surface by Astronaut Charles m Duke Jr., who was Lunar Module Pilot on board the lunar module, 'Orion' which landed on the Descartes Highlands on April 20th, 1972. The Apollo 16 mission was the first to land in the lunar highlands. The crew of John Young and Charlie Duke spent over 71 hours exploring this region of the moon.

Both the Flag and the Letter have been archivally framed alongside each other to an overall size of 26" x 18"

The Flag and the Flag Certificate are in excellent condition, while the letter has some toning, wrinkling and a crease.
