This framed presentation contains a 18mm wide x 10mm high ablative plug made from resin that was threaded into holes on the exterior of Apollo 11 Command Module, Colombia to protect bolts from the extreme heat of re-entry.
After the mission, this plug was removed by O.W. Nasse, a Space Division technician who was assigned to Apollo 11's post splashdown and recovery team
The plug is framed using archival materials, below a 20x16 inch photo of the Apollo 11 Command Module in lunar orbit, and two 4 inch AB Emblems patches and a brass plaque.
Comes with a COA from Ken Havekotte and a Moonpans COA
