Skylab II Flown US Flag

This 5.5 x 4 inch US Flag flew onboard NASA's 2nd manned Skylab mission from 28 July to September 25 1973 the mission was officially known as Skylab 3, but due to a mix-up with NASA management the mission patches were designed with Skylab II as it was the 2nd mission which was manned.

The flag is affixed to a presentation measuring 20x16 inches which is hand signed by Skylab II astronauts, Alan Bean, Owen Garriot and Jack Lousma. The presentation also has a hand written inscription by Alan Bean which reads, "TO THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF RHODE ISLAND - IN APPRECIATION FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION IN MAKING THE DREAM OF A MANNED EARTH ORBITING SPACE STATION A REALITY"

Also affixed to the presentation is a small plaque which reads, "THIS FLAG WAS FLOWN ABOARD THE SKYLAB SPACE STATION FOR 858 REVOLUTIONS OF OUR EARTH TOTALING 24.4 MILLION MILES - 28 JULY - 25 SEPTEMBER 1973 "

Overall in good condition but the presentation card has small areas of staining and other smudges
