This 11.5 x 8 inch US Flag was flown on board the Apollo 16 Command Module and came from the personal collection of Apollo 16 Commander, John Young.
It has been archivally framed along with 2 AB Emblems 3 inch patches and a brass plaque. The plaque reads, "Apollo 16 Flown US Flag - The Large US Flag was flown to Moon onboard the Apollo 16 Command Module Casper in April 1972"
Large size flags are far rarer than the standard 6x4 inch sized flags.
Overall framed size is 18 x 17 inches.
