Apollo 15 crew signed type 1 insurance cover and cancelled for launch.
Apollo insurance covers are postal envelopes that were usually printed with a mission emblem cachet, stamped, signed by the crew and postmarked on the day of lunar landing. The astronauts' families then retained these special covers as a type of insurance against the possibility of an accident in space that would not allow the crew to safely return to earth.
Framed using archival materials below a stunning 20x16 inch Apollo 15 photo showing Jim Irwin at the Rover with Mons Hadley in the background, plus two 4 inch AB Emblem Patches
Overall size is approx 24x25 inches
