This is the actual checklist page representing the second of three rest
periods on the Apollo 17 lunar landing mission. This page 5-7/5-8 is
from the Apollo 17 Lunar Surface Checklist (SKB32100123-363 S/N 1001)
and originates from the personal collection of the last man on the
Moon, Eugene Cernan. The Lunar Surface Checklist was one of the most
important and most utilized documents from the astronauts stay while on
the Moon's surface.
This particular page represents Cernan and Schmitt's second night of
sleep on 12-13-72 (both pre-sleep and post-sleep procedures) between
EVA's 2 and 3. Page 5-7 details activities related to re-charging the
PLSS backpacks for the very last moonwalk, as well as stowing unneeded
equipment and excuting a LM power-down. Page 5-8 was where the crew
detailed their sleep time, food consumption and logged any medication
taken.

This Transcript of voice transmissions between Houston and the Apollo 17 Lunar Module, shows the same information that has been written on the checklist ie. that Cernan took a Seconal and slept 3 good and 3 intermittent
hours. Schmitt needed no medication and had 6 good hours of sleep.
