This bungee cord over 14 inches long was used during the Apollo 16 Mission to the moon to hold down items in zero gravity, such as checklists or tools, by using snap fasteners that mated with similar fasteners at various points around the spacecraft.

The bungee comes from the personal collection of Apollo 16 Commander, John Young, who has also provided a signed COA which has been matted into the presentation (see photos)

The Bungee cord has been mounted on a dark blue suede background (actually by mating it to compatible snap fasteners!) and has been framed along with 2 photos, (one of the Apollo 16 CSM in Lunar Orbit, and one of a similar bungee cord being used in situ), John Young's COA and two 4 inch AB Emblem patches.

The frame uses Acid-Free mats and UV proof glazing. And has an overall measurement of 23 inches x 20.5 inches
