A magnificent large framed piece featuring an Apollo 14 Insurance cover cancelled at Kennedy Space Center on the launch date, January 31, 1971, with a 'First Man On The Moon' stamp. Hand signed by crew of Apollo 14 - Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell and Stu Roosa"

Apollo insurance covers are postal envelopes that were usually printed with a mission emblem cachet, stamped, signed by the crew and postmarked on the day of launch. The astronauts' families then retained these special covers as a type of insurance against the possibility of an accident in space that would not allow the crew to safely return to earth

The cover is framed below a 20x16 inch stunning photo of Lunar Module Antares sitting in the bright sunlight at Fra Mauro

The frame is supplied with UV protective Acrylic glass and uses Acid free mounts. Also contained in the frame are AB Emblems NASA patch and Apollo 14 patch

The overall framed size is approx 24" x 26"
