This HRSI Space Shuttle Tile measures 3"x 6"x 1" and was flown aboard the Challenger Space Shuttle on its STS-41G mission, and comes wrapped within its original removal wrapping (never opened) and also comes with the official NASA Flown Hardware Removal Tag.

The Removal Tag reads: Orbiter No: 099 (which refers to ''Challenger (OV-099)’’ and is dated Nov 15 1984, which means it was removed after the STS-41G Mission in October 1984.

Very rarely do intact Space Shuttle Tiles come to market, least of all a Challenger Tile on a historically significant flight. STS-41G was the first shuttle mission to carry a crew of seven, including the first crew with two women (Sally Ride and Kathryn Sullivan), the first American female conducted EVA involving a woman (Sullivan), the first Australian-born person to journey into space and, more comically, the first astronaut with a beard (Paul Scully-Power) as well as the first Canadian astronaut (Marc Garneau).
