6x4 inch Texas State Flag was flown to the Moon aboard the
first manned lunar mission, Apollo 8 in December 1968. PRICE - SOLD
Mounted onto a 10x12inch display card with actual hand signed signatures from the Apollo 8 Crew, Jim Lovell, Bill Anders and Frank Borman
The Flag itself has been inscribed as "Carried To The Moon on Apollo 8 - Frank Borman" and co-signed by Jim Lovell.
The card contains very faded signatures of Borman, Lovell and Anders, however Borman has recently added a fresh signature in black ink.
Apollo 8 was the first mission to send men beyond Earth orbit and into lunar orbit. And as such items flown on Apollo 8 are deemed to be very desirable.
